Atlanta Data Centers

Midtown Atlanta | West end

As the ninth-largest metro area in the country, Atlanta is quickly becoming an epicenter for data centers. With more Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Atlanta than Dallas and Nashville combined, the business-forward marketplace is home base for Home Depot, UPS, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, and more. In fact, Georgia has been ranked the #1 state for business four years in a row. Home to the largest entrepreneurship center in the southeast, Atlanta Tech Village, the city is the fifth-largest IT employment cluster, housing 13,000+ tech companies in the area. The burgeoning economy and growing technology community makes the southeastern region an excellent choice for businesses in the market for data center space.

DataBank’s downtown Atlanta data center, ATL1, is part of the CODA development, serving as a high-performance computing center for the Georgia Institute of Technology. The data center accommodates the Southern Crossroads, providing high speed, high bandwidth connectivity to research and education sites throughout the southeast and across the nation. DataBank’s two Tier IV equivalent West End data centers offer a combined 95,000 sq. ft. of colocation space and 20 MW of power.

As the Atlanta metropolis continues to grow, DataBank will grow with it. High elevation minimizes the risk of natural disasters, while power remains low cost and highly reliable. An Integrated Transmission System enables all electricity providers in Georgia to use the same transmission grid. Not to mention, Atlanta is the top U.S. market for bandwidth access, making a dense fiber network part of the package. With plenty of space and power capacity available to customers, along with a wide range of cloud hosting and managed services solutions, Atlanta is the perfect location for businesses with growing technology needs.
